Yes! Totally agree. Ansible's largest problem for me is trying to wrangle YAML into a domain it doesn't belong. This is why I prefer puppets approach, which is a domain specific language that maintains the idea of YAML in that its mostly declarative, desired state, but it still provides sane constructs for looping, conditionals and types. Ansible would benefit greatly from this.
