Can someone outline the gross steps for recovering from this?
- brudgers 7y agoFor me, the gross step was dual booting using different machines...or a Windows machine and a Linux machine. Because dual booting is worse (for me). It means abandoning everything I'm working on in Windows to use Linux. It means abandoning everything I'm working on in Linux to use Windows. It means shutting down and restarting and waiting if I want to switch. It means mucking about with different formats of partitions. And of course it means fooling around with Grub every so often. Two machines is just easier for me in pretty much every way except "isn't it amazing that a machine can dual boot." Two machines is a better abstraction because it's not clever. And not being clever probably makes this a disappointing response even though it will solve most of the problem if not all of it.
