Wait so there isn't a Healthcare cost problem in America then? I don't live in US but if your uninsured and can just call, say I can't pay and pay much less or just have your insurer pay, it seems to be OK either way?
- dangus 7y agoNo, I didn’t say that. The US healthcare system is messed up in a lot of ways. I’m just saying that many people who are uninsured at the emergency room will end up with a lower total than people who are insured with unsubsidized low quality insurance.
- t0mas88 7y agoIt doesn't work like the comment described at all. If you can't pay you end up in debt collection and then get a lot of extra fees on top of the already ridiculously high bill. In the end it will bankrupt a lot of families.
- shigawire 7y agoIt's ok if you ignore your bills as long as you have no intention of needing credit in the future.
