My s.o. just got a dev role in January, first job she hopes to keep, first job in the west, to start 2 March. We moved across the country for it. A few other hires were due to start a bit later in the month. I was a bit nervous looking for a place to live in an incipient pandemic (cases were already reported in the wild here at that time). But from the coronavirus, the two hires due to start later in the month got canceled - only my s.o. got taken on. I really hope they hadn't quit jobs in far off lands to relocate :/
