In many cultures, people use water and their hands to clean themselves in the toilet, and then wash their hands afterwards (with soap, obviously). I believe that's better than toilet paper where you inevitably smear feces all over your butt crack. It also addresses people's concerns that a simple jet of water alone isn't enough to clean them. Now, people may say its disgusting to clean your anal area with your hands. But don't you do it when showering? There is undoubtedly fecal matter residue there anyways (especially if you use toiler paper). So the option is to: 1. Use TP with a 100% chance of fecal residue on your body and walk around with that caked in your crack, or 2. Use your hands and water. You are not doing anything dirtier than what you do when taking a proper shower. Cleaner down there and clean when you wash hands with soap.
