Even worse, we trust web browsers to manage passwords now too. This is insanity icing on top of the complicated cake that no one can understand.
I feel as if we are hurtling faster and faster to our ultimate doom. And all we seem to do is mash the gas pedal harder.
- AgentME 7y agoWe already trust our auth cookies and the actual content of the connections to our browsers. Having them be more in charge of the auth process makes a lot of sense. Especially given that modern browsers have a lot more security hardening (sandboxed multi-process architecture) and professional review than other applications.
