Why do they have to make this horrible camera pop-out? It means that you cannot place the iPad comfortably on the table to write on it. I cannot understand it -

Why do they have to make this horrible camera pop-out? It means that you cannot place the iPad comfortably on the table to write on it. I cannot understand it - to me it is horrible, horrible design, I like to think that Steve Jobs would never allow such a garbage product decision.
Why would you need a powerful camera on iPad anyway?

- LeifCarrotson 7y agoI don't think it would be better to have a worse camera. You can't fit much camera at all in 5.9mm anyways, and cameras are useful. What would be better is if the whole thing were as thick as required by the camera module - a "whopping" 8mm or so. You could use this difference to make it stiffer and more durable (it's going to be uncomfortably weak to hold at 5.9mm), to add more battery capacity, or to improve the thermal performance.
