I replaced my pool of failing Kindle DXes with the RM1. Wrote some tools to automate DeDRMing my Kindle books so I have them on the RM1 now. Very similar reading experience. The RM1 is faster than the DX, but the software is slightly less reader friendly (harder to get to table of contents, go to specific pages, etc). I didn't use zoom on the DX, don't know if RM1 has it or how usable it is. The ability to notate on PDFs on the RM1 is very valuable.
