This seems great and the price is much more achievable now.
I personally can't read PDF books from a normal screen. I need paper.
I own a Kindle DX but the screen is not big enough and the software is showing its age.
The fact that you can even use a pencil I this device is a big plus.
- jonahbenton 7y agoI replaced my pool of failing Kindle DXes with the RM1. Wrote some tools to automate DeDRMing my Kindle books so I have them on the RM1 now. Very similar reading experience. The RM1 is faster than the DX, but the software is slightly less reader friendly (harder to get to table of contents, go to specific pages, etc). I didn't use zoom on the DX, don't know if RM1 has it or how usable it is. The ability to notate on PDFs on the RM1 is very valuable.
