Didn't some study recently say that in China a key practice for containment was removing infected family members from households and placing them in quarantine?

Didn't some study recently say that in China a key practice for containment was removing infected family members from households and placing them in quarantine? I'm a little skeptical of self-isolating in a home with other people. You're all in it together at that point. I'm not sure "everyone in the house will catch it", but probably everyone will be exposed.
