Super Bowl on Feb 2, was irresponsible. 17k confirmed cases in China at the time, 10x of that unconfirmed.
Tesla factory. One has to balance the economic damage and public health risk. And take into consideration that there is a public health risk from economic damage.
- dilyevsky 7y agoSb was at the time of zero community transmissions. Different story now...
- dchichkov 7y agoHow do you know? It is not like there was any testing there. Planes evacuating people from Wuhan (also ~47 days ago) were having 1% of virus positives at the time.
- dilyevsky 7y agoSame way i know there wasn’t anyone with bubonic plague. Early existing outbreaks have all been traced directly to china
- dchichkov 7y agoThe thing started in China in December, maybe earlier. US population that travels to China tends to be young, active, connected in business circles. Brushes the thing off like a minor cold, without skipping a beat. So community transmission in the US could have been going as early as December, just not in the circles that are particularly affected by that virus.
