- ceejayoz 7y agoCOVID-19 is the term media, the CDC, etc. are using to discuss it. Being pedantic about it doesn't impress anyone. For example, https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/index.html https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/index.html says "Coronavirus (COVID-19)". So does https://www.who.int/emergencies/diseases/novel-coronavirus-2019 https://www.who.int/emergencies/diseases/novel-coronavirus-2....
