If freedom of speech is something we truly care about, it is absolutely not the Government's business to crack down on individuals it chooses to view as "propagandists"
- spectramax 7y agoSure, I agree. But can we have this as a separate discussion. Focus of this article is about expelling journalists from China.
- true_religion 7y agoDo we care about free speech or intelligence against our “adversary”? The original comment talks about both and muddies the waters by trying to appeal to both cynics and idealists. Cynics invited into the discussion absolutely prefer cracking down on propagandists in the US, and keeping “good” journalists in China.
