work for the government? i wouldn't call it success though
- mberning 16y agoPeople are down voting you, but I don't know why. There has been much written about the explosion of 6 figure government jobs in the last decade or two.

- rdl 16y agoThe median salary for city workers in Palo Alto is above $100k. The amusing thing is many of the jobs below $100k are meter-readers and other parking enforcement. The city runs its own utilities, etc., so has a fairly sizable workforce relative to population.
- nl 16y agoSo roughly the same as the US population as a whole, where ~16% make > 100K. (Note that this percentage is of all workers, including part time workers.
