Ask HN: Why is the US not testing for Covid-19 as much as it should
WHO director says that social distancing will not work as we don’t know who’s infected and who is not. That is true as with social distancing we are just making assumptions that groups of individuals (families) are either all healthy or infected. What logically works is testing and isolation. That makes sense and I feel relatively speaking there is very little testing going on in US.
Is this because lack of testing kits? Or poor leadership by bad communication or something else is going on here ?
