Incidentally I was on medtronic's loop system for about a year and a half, but you couldn't pay me enough to go back to it. Not saying it doesn't work for some people (often people with very stable hormonal systems who don't have large variations in their physical activity levels), but even in the best case calling it a cure is rough claim to hear being familiar with the reality of dealing with these things. I'm glad that it was a success for your friend though.
