also tried of uncertainty.
curious what happens if that person go to corona virus testing wait line and hug some people :)). Get the virus and hope to develop the immunity.
How logical and scientific is this idea?
- jlgaddis 7y agoYou are, obviously, free to do that -- regardless of how stupid it seems. If you do, however, please at least have enough respect for the rest of society to isolate yourself as much as possible afterwards.

- Alex3917 7y agoYou mean .2% with medical treatment, 10% without medical treatment. If you do this today you're not going to get symptoms for a week, and wouldn't need hospitalization for another week or two after that. By that point you're at serious risk of dying in a parking lot outside a hospital.
- sahin-boydas 7y agoHahah
- sahin-boydas 7y agoWhere is 90% number coming from , can u provide a source? There are hundreds of thousands of people survived.
- garmaine 7y agoThere's a bunch of different studies, mostly focused on the results from China, but there's also a few things trickling out from other seriously affected areas. Basically 15% of people (of ANY age) who present symptoms get so sick as to require hospitalization. Younger people have strong bodies and with an ICU bed, drugs, and proper medical care they are able to recover over the course of a few weeks. But without that intervention, they have a good chance of dying. That is what happened in the last days of the Wuhan crisis (peak fatality rate: 5%). It is what is happening now in Italy (fatality rate: 8% and climbing) and Iran. That could be the rest of the EU in a week, and the USA a week after. When the healthcare system is over capacity, the "needs hospitalization" number becomes the fatality rate.
- 1_over_n 7y agoIt's not logical or scientific right now.
- 1_over_n 7y agoIf you are really keen to experience this virus, you could do it under medical supervision, get paid, and help the world by signing up for a clinical trial to have a vaccine tested on you. https://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/home-news/coronavirus-vaccine-quarantined-volunteers-test-virus-uk-a9389231.html https://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/home-news/coronavirus-...
- garmaine 7y agoCrazy stupid. Don't do this. First, there's a decent (10-15%) chance that in 1-3 weeks you'll need hospitalization, even though it wouldn't normally be life threatening. You'll probably get a bed because you're young and likely to survive, but that means someone ELSE in an at-risk category will be denied and die. Second, there's all the people you will infect over the next few weeks, accelerating the spread of the disease. Even if you take the recommended precautions, you will likely spread the disease. Stay home and flatten the curve.
