Totalitarian leaders always invoke the benefit of the masses when justifying their abuse. Personally, I believe very strongly in personal freedom, so I would absolutely rather have a million deaths than go into a state-mandated nationwide total lockdown. Anyway, the truth is it’s not an “either or” scenario. Hopefully there’s a sane middleground that we converge on :)
