I guess science no longer requires scrutiny and discussion. Two guys with credentials worked on it, that's all I need to hear to feel better.
- notahacker 7y agoI guess replying to comments no longer requires paying attention to the context. One person claimed, apropos of nothing, that the position was 'political, not academic' and I pointed out the obvious fact the relevant scientific advisor's academic credentials were impeccable and their political experience rather limited.
- sorokod 7y agoApropo apropos of nothing, the point was that an argument from (academic) authority is weakned when the authority occupies a political role.
