That seems to follow from determinism... if the universe is deterministic then everything must align exactly in such a way that if you simulated the universe it would be identical every time.
- jfengel 7y agoIt's not just that you get repeated results, but that the repeated results will be correlated to non-local results. In ordinary determinism every interaction can be explained purely by local stuff; the further something is, the less it matters. In this case a very far object has an unlikely effect, which can be achieved only by constructing a Rube Goldberg path for it to get to a particular state.
