Stonks already hit the downside circuit breakers.
- scurvy 7y agoNot sure what you're looking at, but the S&P500 e-mini futures are still trading. No breakers were hit.
- vanattab 7y agoHe is referring to the other day when trading was stop for 15 mins
- arthurcolle 7y agoNo I don't think so. See this other poster's comment, 15 minutes after yours (synchronicity!) https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=22553350 https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=22553350
- 1e-9 7y agoYes, the E-mini S&P 500 Futures March contract (ESH0) did hit a Velocity Logic circuit breaker at 9:13:12 PM ET, soon after Trump announced the travel restrictions. The halt lasted for 10 seconds and then trading resumed. It's down 4.4% now and is getting close to the low price limit for the day, which could halt trading completely until the CME lowers the limit at 9:30 AM ET.
