Depending on the size of the local store, it should be sourcing its goods through a reputable distributor or have its own supply chain that connects directly to manufacturers (eg. for Walmart and other large chain stores). It's not impossible to get counterfeits, but it's a lot more reliable than marketplace sellers with no real brand to protect.
