I believe the Open Compute designs moved to 48 VDC for efficiency.
- Animats 7y agoAh, they did.[1] The power busbars are in the same place, so you can't have both 12V and 48V in the same rack. The connectors are intentionally incompatible so you can't plug into the wrong voltage.
