That makes sense for Sequoia, but not necessarily for the limited partners. Shouldn't this come out of Seqoia's, rather than the investor's pockets?

  My guess is that’s what happened, this is coming out of management fees.

    Doubt it. Not like Sequoia has that much in management fees. 3% on 1B AUM collecting fees is only $30M for the whole firm.
