Your example in the "Testability" section doesn't involve HOFs. I thought it was interesting to view that example as an instance of defunctionalisation.
- Smaug123 7y agoI guess that's true. It was my inner compiler-writer speaking there. (To match defunctionalisation with the initial algebra pattern does require HOFs in all but the simplest cases, I think.)
