Having used C++ for 25+ years, I know it better than I wish I did. I have also used Clojure professionally for 5 years now, and I find it much more readable, as in there's much less cognitive load when figuring out what something does. It is not just about abstraction level either: Python gives me intense discomfort. I have not used K, but quite like the way it looks.
