I had a similar experience when I learned that "aphantasia" is a thing (or rather, that having a "mind's eye" isn't just a figure of speech).
- pansa2 7y agoSimilar for me with “musical anhedonia”. It blew my mind to find out that “sad songs” actually make people feel sad - it doesn’t just mean “low tempo” or “appropriate to play at a sad time”.
