US sanctions worsens COVID19 crisis in Iran
- omeid2 7y agoThis might be surprising to some but most sanctions come with human cost, at least in terms Quality of Life if not resulting in preventable or even direct deaths.
- mirimir 7y agoFor sure. US sanctions against various countries have arguably killed hundreds of thousands, over the past few decades. Maybe even millions.

- mirimir 7y agoYes, it's not at all unique. Just a big player. But Stalin killed more, through what might be considered domestic sanctions.
- sigmaprimus 7y agoThe real question is why did Iran get hit so fast? Maybe Chinese companies have been breaking sanctions. Im pretty sure thats why the CEO of Huawei is being held in Canada soon to be extradited to the US to face fraud charges based on breaking Iranian sanctions and lying to banks about it.
- sudoaza 7y agoFor sure, many sanctions are not international, they are unilateral (and illegal according to international trade laws) US sanctions.
