- anticensor 7y agoDid you mean "inhibit"? Prohibit means to forbid.
- Symmetry 7y agoProhibit as in "(of a fact or situation) prevent (something); make impossible." rather than "formally forbid (something) by law, rule, or other authority". It's not the most common usage of the word but it's still a pretty common one.
