- irrational 7y agoThat's because that bomber was built by the "greatest" generation. By definition, we aren't the greatest generation.

- thu2111 7y agoBe fair. Nobody was building one bomber an hour two months after the very first sign of trouble.
- adrianN 7y agoYou'd think that we have improved our ability to mass manufacture things since 1940.
- gamblor956 7y agoMultiple companies in the US, China, and Europe have announced that they will be producing millions or more masks a month with availability beginning as soon as next week, just 2 months after the virus went global... It took most of the war for that plant to get to the point of building a bomber an hour.
