The IRS mostly follows the law. Proposals to change the law to raise taxes or close loopholes exceed the "IRS said so" criteria.
- nickpp 7y agoIf IRS can't say when you paid enough tax, who can then? Shall we ask all politicians just in case they gain power and implement their own vision of taxation someday? Or is it safer to just give all earned money to the state just so we can sleep at night?
