If I got sick during this corona scare, I WOULD NOT go to the clinic/hospital
- WilsonPaige 7y agoYou should call your doctor/hospital if you have severe symptoms(that is, if you feel bad and are worried - don't be a tough guy/gal, go ahead and call). They will evaluate you and tell you whether it is necessary to go to a hospital. Be honest and ask them about your concerns. Call back later if things get worse enough for you to notice. Don't hesitate to ask for help if you are too weak to bring yourself - tell them to fetch you. The hospital is there for people in significant danger of death. The virus does certain things in the end phase (as in "end of you!") that can be monitored and prevented better in a hospital environment than at home, hospital personnel have voluntarily chosen to remain on watch and they will be there come hell or high water. Careful nursing prevents deaths. Here are more detailed instructions (scroll down to "What you can do") but, for God's sake, don't wait to call or stay away just because you haven't checked off every item on their list: https://www.mayoclinic.org/diseases-conditions/coronavirus/diagnosis-treatment/drc-20479976 https://www.mayoclinic.org/diseases-conditions/coronavirus/d...
- UncleOxidant 7y agoyeah, but the Fed just lowered rates by 0.5%! But seriously, if we want to not only fight the epidemic and also preserve the economy the best way to do it would be to make sure that everyone who has to go into quarantine is compensated for lost income. Sort of a targeted guaranteed basic income.
- nabla9 7y ago(very US specific, I assume). I think everyone should stay sick at home if they are not in a risk group and symptoms don't get bad. Especially when they are not even testing and isolating everyone with symptoms yet. You could have severe case of seasonal influenza and get covid-19 in the hospital. If there is too many very sick people, hospitals start running out of respirators.
