I'm all for it but please replace 'programming interview' with 'a job as a programmer'. Edit for clarity: I'm not sure interviews are the ideal test-case for programming performance and thus I'm not sure it makes sense to prepare students for that. Along the same lines I wouldn't agree with professors preparing their students for the GRE because that has little real-world relevance.
