- dntbnmpls 7y ago> it is not absurd It is absurd because we know it is factually incorrect. That claim is as absurd as flat earther's claim. > cooking would have helped ease the evolutionary transition to being able to digest meat. There was no evolutionary transition because our human and non-human ancestors all ate meat. We didn't evolve to digest meat, we evolved from meat eaters. > aside from that we are still very poor at digesting meat. No. We are very poor at digesting vegetation. We certainly aren't poor at digesting meat. We just digest it better by cooking it. The same for vegetation. > https://www.independent.co.uk/news/science/red-meat-processe.. https://www.independent.co.uk/news/science/red-meat-processe.... How did I know you'd link to this nonsense? Also, the independent barely qualifies as news. Do you know why vegans are viewed as the culinary equivalent to flat earthers or anti-vaxxers? Because you deny history, science and common sense for your agenda. If you don't like meat, then fine, don't eat it. It's your loss. But don't lie about history, evolution, etc. You might win a few people to your cult but the vast majority people will see right through you and be put off.
