A $200 battery replacement for my 2014 MBP 15 turned into a $600 logic board replacement. The reason? The Thunderbolt ports don’t work. Not only was I aware of this, but I also explicitly told the Apple store technician that I did not want to repair them. I just told them to send it back. They lost $200, and probably my next laptop purchase.
