It's even worse than that: regular surgical masks are only effective for 4 hours or so.
- Johnny555 7y agoI was assuming an N95 respirator and some sources say they can be used for a workday as long as they haven't become contaminated from direct exposure to bodily fluids -- there's no point in equipping the country with surgical masks since they won't offer any significant protection from the virus anyway.
