OP's attempting to fulfill their basic needs to remove the temptation. Listening to someone who will say "please don't kill yourself, your problems can be coped with" doesn't help. Talking to someone who will say "so these are the specific things to help your problems, and I will walk with you to help get you there". But that's the job of a social worker, not a suicide prevention hotline.
