If I could easily update python so that yum still worked fine on centos I would definitely start using python3. As it is I'm still stuck with python2.4 for a majority of the stuff I write.
- Maascamp 16y agoYou can always use virtualenv and whatever version of Python you want.
- lmz 16y agoThe IUS repository http://iuscommunity.org/ http://iuscommunity.org/ has Python 3 (and Python 2.6) packages that install side by side.
- njharman 16y agoYou can always install other versions of Python. I have never used the distro's version of Python. I have always built my preferred version from source. It's trivial.
