I believe you may achieve the same result locally using https://github.com/openalpr/openalpr https://github.com/openalpr/openalpr and cut your AWS and cell bills to exactly zero. It has Tesseract and OpenCV inside. Would love to see it as a part two of the article!
- xFlynnRider 7y agoI've come across that. And it looks awesome! Might give it a chance, why not. I see Tesseract's OCR engine is based on LSTM networks.
