Swift Soars Ever Higher
- saagarjha 7y agoCan we have the title changed to something more descriptive like “Swift on Windows passes full Foundation test suite”?
- jameskilton 7y agoWhy? That's the actual title of the posted article.
- sicromoft 7y agoBecause hackernews has a policy/history of editing titles to be more useful/descriptive and less clickbaity.
- nimbius 7y agoagreed, its also a forum post on Swifts corporate website, not an "article" per say.
- privateSFacct 7y agoBecause the title makes it sound like swift is soaring ever higher above other languages, though both swift and go are certainly growing quickly in adoption - someone could probably find metrics.
- melling 7y agoSwift is also a bird. Someone is being playful with the title.
- marvel_boy 7y agoThis is huge. Thanks for the hard work! I cannot imagine something as hard as multiplattform.
- melling 7y agoSwift on Windows is much needed. Swift is the kind of language that you can master the basics in a couple days, assuming you already know how to program. It has some functional features built in too: https://github.com/melling/SwiftCookBook/blob/master/functional.md https://github.com/melling/SwiftCookBook/blob/master/functio...
