I’ve seen a number of SaaS related apps that are simply free in the App Store but are useless if you aren’t already a customer of the SaaS in question. Usually saying little more than “login with your details, to learn more go here” and the learn more takes them out of the app to a help page on a regular safari tab explaining things. This of course eliminates any real customer acquisition by way of new users discovering the app in the App Store but with expensive SaaS products it’s not normally a significant enough percentage of new customers that are obtained that way anyway.
