This twitter thread is complete garbage. The headline statistic is cherry picked to include the categories that have outpaced inflation the most. They also double count health insurance, which for most full time employees is a benefit they receive on top of their salary. Contrary to what rose twitter tells you, real individual compensation has increased over the past few decades, not decreased (albeit perhaps not by as much as it should have, and a lot of the increase has been diverted to surging healthcare costs).
