How come? All I see is loads of unnecessary fluff. I for one find xmonad & co extremely pleasant to use even if there’s a slight learning curve. I really don’t

How come? All I see is loads of unnecessary fluff. I for one find xmonad & co extremely pleasant to use even if there’s a slight learning curve. I really don’t see what Cinnamon, Gnome & co. have to offer (except to users who aren’t very technically oriented, who’d probably be more productive on OS X or Windows anyway)
