Ask yourself, does an artisan woodworker want the shop to buy a CNC mill that they'll be obliged to use to justify its cost, knowing that they can be replaced more easily as a machine operator than as a skilled artisan? They would probably rather advance their skills in woodworking than as a specialist in XYZ Woodco button-pushing.
