With cloudfront, you were able to set that when you goto http://example.com http://example.com that it would send you to http://example.com/index.html http://example.com/index.html. However, it would not support you when you accessed http://example.com/dir/ http://example.com/dir/. That would not redirect to http://example.com/dir/index.html http://example.com/dir/index.html.
