In practice, I cannot think of a week that has gone by where everything just "worked." From script kiddies to hackers, to web-components suddenly disappearing. To YouTube audits, to random bugs that aren't reproducible. Large providers will always have an advantadge in that, they can identify adverasrial activity before it reaches my site, and then apply what they learn to every site they operate.
