The Github Issue is worse. You don't handle schizophrenics by being rude to them. Props to @tcrowe for the sound dissent.

You didn't even have the decency to reply to either of my two emails, but you come in here publicly and ban me, glibly posting a generic link for justification, because you personally dislike me.     It’s jarring to me that you’ve figure out that you shouldn’t handle schizophrenics by being rude to them, but that you’re jumping to calling another person, presumably not schizophrenic, an idiot. I think generalizing “don’t be a jerk” to pretty much every situation is a helpful extension.

      I implicitly laid down the terms for civil, productive engagement with others in potentially adversarial contexts. Then a man speaking only truth was unrighteously dismissed as a "troll". This is a rejection of those terms. One should always lead with respect, but it is not unconditional.

    A couple of issues. There appears to be a nonsense github repo for slandering San Francisco: https://github.com/tcrowe/san-francisco-covered-in-poop/issues/1 https://github.com/tcrowe/san-francisco-covered-in-poop/issu... Also, the user launches an ad hominem attack on a user replying to the only issue on the repo in question. I quote: "You should be more careful about your words considering you're living in a place like SF. It doesn't look good to patronize people while your Communist city is covered in human feces and urine. When you flee that city in shame and cowardice don't come to Salt Lake City. We prefer things clean and orderly." They also go on to say: "It's normal that Liberals go insane with impotent rage when they see photos of President Trump" These comments and work-products appear to created in order to incite anger in others, the definition of a troll.

It's hard to answer emails before they have been sent. We answer emails in the order that we receive them, and there were many ahead of you. I'm replying now.

I also flagged this submission. The title of the submission makes it clear that it was posted to gawk/make fun of the person posting it. They state in their manifesto that they are living in a shelter, so presumably they are already in a place where they can get help. There are already some rude and callous comments posted on Github, and I don't think we need to bring any more there. @tcrowe is using it as an opportunity to grandstand and I don't think any more attention is needed there, either.
