In the last company I worked for, we had a pretty standard build pipeline for a web application. I was a bit shocked to see how many different packages repositories we depend on for every build: NPM, Pypi, Alpine packages, docker hub ... a single failure in any of those centralized systems that we don't pay for and builds fail.
