It's really not a monopoly. Just the most popular service. Yes, it's currently better than the competition for some communities, but it really doesn't mean the competition doesn't exist or can't form.
- sillysaurusx 7y agoIf you s/reddit/facebook/, the same argument holds. But obviously Facebook is a monopoly. Reddit is the Nth most popular site in the world. (I'm not exactly sure what N is, but it's pretty small.) Whatever the competition is, it hardly registers on the radar.
