Just tell the truth. Have a meeting with your boss, thank him for the opportunities and just explain that this is your dream job. I was in the same situation half a year ago, and I'm 100% glad I was totally honest about it. And like others have said, you don't want to burn down bridges - you never know when old business contacts may come in handy.
